Customer Information / Terms & Conditions

Below you will find answers to the questions that we are most frequently asked but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Ordering

How To Order

You can buy online or by phone for delivery or in-store collection. Alternatively, you can shop in-store at any of our trade counters - no account required.

Last Order Time

Our last order time for same-day despatch:

  • UK Mainland: 5.00pm Monday - Friday
  • Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland: 4.00pm Monday - Friday

Who Do We Sell To?

We predominantly serve sign makers, garment printers, automotive wrappers, fleet graphics installers, and businesses in visual communication, but anyone can buy from us, whether as an individual or business.

Stock Levels

We hold a massive amount of stock in our 9 UK branches and distribution centre so generally all items will be in stock for next day delivery. The website shows the quantity available in group stock for delivery.

Stock Icon

This is a live figure so it may change by the time you actually checkout. The stock amount is the group stock so it will not be all located in the same warehouse. Occasionally the stock figure may be incorrect due to stock damage, incorrect information being entered or an unforeseen circumstance.

If your nearest branch does not stock an item it will be sent from our main distribution centre along with the rest of your order.

For in-store collections we recommend that you select the branch on the link at the top of the website. Even if a branch does not hold a particular product as a standard stock item it can be generally ordered in for collection on a next day basis.

If any item will be out of stock for longer than 24 hours we will call you to advise of the expected date. If a standard stock item is on back order you do of course have the right to cancel without surcharge.

Pricing / VAT

MDP Supplies predominantly serves trade customers, so prices are displayed excluding VAT by default. You can change between Ex VAT and Inc VAT prices at any time using the clearly labelled switch at the top of the website. Your selected setting applies to product and trolley prices, while checkout separately shows the subtotal, delivery charge, VAT and full amount payable before you submit the order.

For customers in the Republic of Ireland, VAT is charged at the UK rate of 20% as orders are despatched from our warehouse in Northern Ireland. No customs duties or additional fees will apply.

For VAT-registered companies in the Republic of Ireland, goods can be zero-rated for VAT under EU rules if a valid EORI number is provided, and the delivery address is verified.

For export orders, no VAT will be charged at the point of sale. However, the courier will contact you prior to delivery to collect any applicable VAT and duties required by the destination country.

All prices shown are provided in good faith and may be altered without prior notice. If a product has been incorrectly priced we reserve the right to adjust the price and to charge or refund the difference after contacting the customer to advise them first.

Discount

On most products we offer discounts when you order multiple items, or multiple items from the same range. The ordering system will automatically calculate the correct pricing for the items that you have in your order.

Payment

We accept all major credit / debit cards and PayPal for online orders. For click-and-collect or in-store purchases, we accept all major credit / debit cards, contactless payments, and cash.

Purchase Order

If your business or organization uses purchase orders, you are welcome to email it to us. We will issue an invoice with our bank details to streamline the payment process.

Credit Accounts

We do not offer credit accounts. Payment must be made prior to despatch / collection.

Fraud Checks

We reserve the right to cancel any order we suspect to be fraudulent. If this happens, payment will be refunded. Providing accurate contact details can help us verify orders more quickly if needed.

Delivery

Order Fulfilment

All orders placed before the cut-off time will be despatched the same day (subject to stock availability and necessary checks). If there are any issues with your order, we will contact you.

For certain orders, you may receive multiple despatch notifications as items may be shipped from different stores due to stock allocations. If you have a preferred courier, you can mention it in the order notes; however, we cannot guarantee this due to courier restrictions.

Couriers

In the checkout process you can select your preferred delivery method, next day, 2-3 delivery or post. The delivery options are determined by the time the order is placed, your location and the overall weight of the order.

Costs

Full information on delivery costs and timescales are shown here.

Tracking

When your order is picked and despatched you will receive an email which will contain the courier tracking number if a courier delivery service has been selected in the ordering process.

Mainland EU Orders

Orders shipped to the EU mainland are exempt from UK VAT but the receiver of the order is responsible for payment of their country's VAT and / or duty to the courier before delivery. If a shipment is returned to us by the courier due to non payment any freight costs incurred will be charged to the customer.

Delays / Loss In Transit

If an order is delayed by a courier we will endeavour to keep you informed and chase up the courier on your behalf. If a courier informs us that a consignment is damaged or lost we will, at our expense send out a replacement using the same type of delivery service as the original order, eg next day courier.

Liability

If you have paid for a next day delivery but the order was not despatched by MDP Supplies on the correct day to meet this requirement then liability is limited to the refund of any delivery cost paid (if any). We are not liable for next day delivery costs associated with orders that we despatched on time but have failed to arrive due to the courier. If you give instructions to a courier to leave the parcel without your signature then we are not responsible for any loss incurred. We do not pay compensation for any consequential loss under any circumstances.

Force Majeure

MDP Supplies shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, Act of God or failure to deliver by couriers, hauliers or shipping lines.
